A survey conducted showed that there was need for a senior wing at the Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo. The new facility is expected to server nine municipalities, that is, Mission Viejo and its eight surrounding municipalities. The hospital's geriatric wing needs to be strategically placed to facilitate ease and convenience of access and resource sharing. Services such as laboratory services may be shared to reduce the initial construction costs with the services offered at the hospital restructured to supplement those offered at the geriatric wing. Based on this, the mission and vision of Golden Age Hospital and the Community Clinic need to be aligned with those of the Mission Hospital thus enhancing collaborative growth. It is paramount for GAH to determine the most feasible physician/ Hospital integration model that will direct the facility to provide quality care that is in line with its mission and vision.
